MISSION IMAGINATION : TO THE MOON AND BEYOND

A community engaged exhibition that takes people through the timeline of space exploration starting with the ancient astronomy of our Noongar peoples and weaving through the Moon landing and launching into the future of space science.

Harvey Primary School is holding a two day exhibition that is show-casing the history, achievements and future of space exploration. The exhibition celebrates Noongar astronomy, histories and culture, explores the Moon landing and show-cases the technologies used in the community at the time. The audience is invited to:  explore the surface of the moon with student made Moon Buggies;  see the testing of mars rovers;  participate in augmented reality of the Moon;  be wowed by the student created night sky;  debate the ethics of space exploration; and  realise the importance of social and emotional wellbeing at the cutting edge of space science. Community photography and art works will also form part of the exhibition.
